I noticed that it was very similar in appearance to the Portfolio theme from Organic themes, as it made use of a very minimalistic appearance and similar layout. I liked the overall navigation and options available in this one and know that it would perfectly for anyone needing a news theme or a magazine theme.
Product Features and Benefits
The Structure Theme from Organic Themes is being offered as a free version and a premium version. The company offers with the premium version support, theme updates and more options whereas the free version just gives you the basics and you are on your own. You can get the free one on their site or opt to pay $69 for the premium which I think is a little steep being as there are numerous membership based companies that give you tons of themes for as low as $39 such as yoothemes and elegant themes.
The homepage sports a featured slider which in this theme is demonstrating the use of video. It has a right side description box and below several columns where you can separate up areas of your site. So If it was a news site you could have world news on the left and other topics on the right.
Both users who require the versatility of a magazine site or the variety of a news layout will be pleased to find this theme offers you everything and more.
Here is a breakdown of what you get in the premium compared to the free version. I have indicated beside each one if the free version has it or not.
- Full support – No
- WordPress 3.0 Features – Yes
- Theme Options – No
- Video Functionality – No
- Widget Ready – Yes
- Featured Image integration – Yes
- Portfolio Page Templates – No
- Featured content slider – No
- Enhanced layout options – No
- Professional design – Yes
- Blog page template – No

The major feature of this site which I really like is the portfolio area. It gives you a full width area to stack your body of photos
You have a nice drop down navigation and the ability to stick with a regular blog structure or go for a full width page display.
Compatibility and Code
I tested the theme in Internet explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Chrome and you will be pleased to know there were no issues not even with i.e
It does make use of jQuery but it’s not reliant on plugins.
I checked the theme to see how valid the XHTML and CSS it had 12 errors and 19 warnings.
This theme loads up really fast in any browser and I wanted to see if it would beat the other organic theme which score 83 so I ran the theme through Google page speed tool to really get a better idea of how good it was and I found it scored and 84/100 so it beat out its other organic theme. Had it scored 100 it would have been classed as perfectly optimized. At the moment Google is very big on load speeds of websites so it was nice to see that they scored high.
