Overview

Swift Premium is a theme for someone needing a simple looking news theme or a magazine look for their site. Starting from the default theme settings it’s easy to customize Swift Premium to your needs with the Swift Control Panel that offers a vast variety of design options that include typography personalization and custom big image uploader.

The back end offers a vast variety of theme features, like:

• Import /Export of the theme settings

It also offers a vast variety of Design Options like:

• A full set of layout options for homepage and pages
• Custom background image
• Customizable font type and color

Functionality

The theme Control Panel it’s well organized and easy to navigate, every option it’s well described. There is a forum support that I’ve noticed to be very active and fast in getting back with answers. From the theme Control Panel you also have access to a paid ticketing system for questions about the theme and general WordPress questions.

Code and Compatibility

I tested the theme across all browsers on Mac and PC and everything looks good besides on IE7 where the menubar shows behind the slider.

I also checked the theme to see how valid the XHTML were and it came back with 20 errors. There does not seem to be a framework used.

Performance

Swift Premium is a very fast loading theme just like it’s advertised. Yslow came back showing it had scored 90 and Google page speed came back with a score of 80.
